“No luck?” Fiona asked, sitting down next to the glowering Torquemada.

“No,” Alonzo huffed, eyes scanning over the quad.

“Well, there are other fish in the sea.” Fiona persuaded, smiling and gesturing towards the numerous other inmates, any of whom were subtly, and not so subtly, clamouring for Alonzo’s attention.

“Fuck the other fish, I want Miguel,” Alonzo spat.

“Call it devotion, call it stubbornness, hell, call it obsession – ”

“Or blind, single-minded, obsession.” Fiona muttered quietly before noticing Alonzo was staring daggers at him.

“Bitch, I didn’t ask for your opinion,” Alonzo said, rising to follow after Miguel as he walked through the quad.
